AZMAN Ismail has been in the Islamic finance industry since 1985. He has provided training and consultancy services in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Brunei and presented papers in Kuala Lumpur, Manama, New York, Tokyo, Brunei, Singapore, Cairo, London, Milan, Taipei and Abu Dhabi. He is an external lecturer for the Master in Islamic Banking and Finance (MIBF) program at the Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance (IIiBF), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). He is also a Course Consultant and Member, Board of Studies at the Institute. He has written six books and translated one book. He has been commissioned by the International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF). He has also been consulted by the International Shari’ah Research Academy for Islamic Finance (ISRA). He was a Director for Malaysia for the Life Underwriter Training Council (LUTC), Bethesda, Maryland, USA. He was also a Member of the Information Panel, AmanahRaya, the Public Trustee of Malaysia and is a Shariah Advisor to four financial institutions. He has written six books and translated and edited four books. One of his books has become a reference book for university students.


Maznita’s professional career began as a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) trained in an accounting firm in the United Kingdom. In Malaysia, she gained valuable corporate finance consultancy experience with PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC), servicing large government projects and multinational corporations. This graduate of the prestigious London School of Economics, United Kingdom also holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics degree and has written more than ten articles for a government agency. She has also written academic papers and one of her papers, written jointly with Azman ISMAIL, won an award as Best Paper in one of the academic conference. She is a Chartered Islamic Finance Practitioner (CIFP) awarded by the International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF) and is now pursuing her PhD at the same university. She has conducted training and consultancy services for several companies in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei. She was an examiner and lecturer for the Islamic Financial Planning Certificate for various institutions. She has written one book published by the Islamic Banking and Finance Institute of Malaysia. Maznita is an active practitioner in the Islamic Financial Planning industry. She has been a speaker for a number of wealth management seminars, not limited to client corporations. In terms of consultancy/training experience, Maznita is not only an Islamic Finance trainer for number of corporations, but also a module writer-cum- trainer-cum-examiner of the IFP certification.



Originally from the IT field, Amal graduated from l’Institut National des Postes et Telecoms (INPT) in Morocco where she worked as an engineer for 2 years. She joined the Islamic finance industry when she became a Chartered Islamic Finance Professional (CIFP), by enrolling the International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF). Amal gained exposure to the Islamic finance leadership thinking as she entered Deloitte’s Islamic Finance Center of Excellence within which she contributed with internal research papers on Islamic Hedging. She was appointed as a consultant by the product development center of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), to conduct a 3 years Global survey on Capital Protected funds where over 300 funds were scrutinized both conventional and Islamic. Amal was not only interested in Islamic Finance, but showed her passion for ethical finance in its broad sense. In fact, she was hired by the Minister of Craft and social economy as a Counselor in strategy and was in charge of developing the Ministry fair trade project as well as its financing lines. Lately, she operated as an independent Islamic finance consultant in Morocco where she contributed with an industry.



With a law background, Zinette’s career began as a legal advisor in a Training and Consultancy company in Tunisia. She moved then to Malaysia where she got her Chartered Islamic Finance Professional (CIFP) from the International Center for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF). She got valuable experience through her professional training within the Islamic Banking Department of a well-known law firm in Malaysia, “Azmi and Associates” where she contributed among others at the structuring of Islamic financial instruments for a private financial institution. She was also involved in Islamic finance consultancy pertaining to a Waqf case in Saudi Arabia.

Zinette moved later to Burkina Faso, where she worked as Director of Finance, Administration and Legal Affairs in an international engineering company, "Sefco-International", an experience that exposed her to a new and challenging work environment. Back to Tunisia, Zinette was appointed as Head of the Training Department at Al Baraka Bank Tunisia. Zinette is a Certified Trainer in Islamic Finance, accredited by the International Teaching Training Coaching Council (TTCC). She also holds the Islamic Finance Certificate in Education and Training (IFCET), accredited by CIBAFI.
