Dr. Md Som  Sujimon is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Kolej Pengajian Islam Johor (MARSAH) and member of the Shariah Committee for HSBC Amanah Takaful. He is also a Shariah Committee member of Al-’Aqar Healthcare REIT.
He graduated from University of al-Azhar, Cairo with a B.A Hons from the Faculty of Islamic Jurisprudence and Law in 1979. He obtained his Master of Arts in Teaching from Mississippi State University (MSU), USA in 1982 and completed his Ph.D in Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies at the Faculty of Arts in University of Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom in 1997.

Dr. Mohamad @ Md. Som began his career as a Lecturer at the Faculty of Arts and Social Science, Universiti Malaya from 1983-1986. He was then migrated to Brunei Darussalam whereby he was part of the team who founded 3 institutions namely Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), Universiti Islam Sultan Syarif Ali (UNISSA) and Kolej Universiti Perguruan Ugama Seri Begawan.
In Brunei Darussalam, he was an Associate Professor at the Faculty Shariah & Law, UNISSA as well as an Associate Professor at the UBD and Institute of Islamic Studies Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien (IPISHOAS). He also was an Associate Professor at International Islamic University Malaysia from 1999 – 2005. He published many papers and was a Senior Researcher at the International Shariah Research Academy (ISRA).

Recently in December 2013, he was appointed as the Chairman for the Shariah Board of Brisbane Islamic Investment Fund (BIIF), an Australian regulated Islamic investment fund and Islamic Finance business custodians which dealing with manufacturing and services, energy and resources, real estate, solar and clean energy and live stocks.

Dr Abdullah Alwi Hasan holds a Bachelor in Shariah from the University of Al Azhar, an MPhil from the University of Kent and a PhD in Islamic law from the University of Edinburgh.

He has more than 25 years teaching experience at university level and more than 15 years in administration. He has been a Professor of Islamic law at the University of Malaya, Institute of Islamic Civilization and Thought, International Islamic University and Asia e-University. He is a Member of the Shariah Committee of OCBC Bank. He first became Professor in January 1998 at the Department of Islamic Studies at University of Malaya until his retirement in 2003 and was on contract as Professor until 2006. He has written 3 books and about forty papers.

Dr. Ahmad Zaki Salleh is currently a lecturer at Islamic Science University Malaysia (USIM). He has been teaching Islamic Banking and Takaful and Islamic Capital Market courses to undergraduate and postgraduate students. He obtained his first degree in Shariah form al-Albayt University, Jordan. Then he obtained Master Degree in Shariah and Ph.D in Islamic Capital Market from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). He is also currently supervising a number of Masters and Ph.D candidates in Shariah, Islamic Finance and Muamalat field. Dr. Zaki has published several articles on Islamic law of contract, Islamic Banking and Islamic Capital Market, and actively involved in numerous research projects in his academic institution. He is a member of the Shariah Committee of Bank Simpnanan Nasional since 2011 of Prudential BSN Takaful since 2014. He is also sits on the Shariah Board of Brisbane Islamic Investment Fund (BIIF), an Australian regulated Islamic investment fund and Islamic Finance business custodians which dealing with manufacturing and services, energy and resources, real estate, solar and clean energy and live stocks. He has also been appointed as Shariah Expert (Islamic Capital Market), at the IIFIN Consulting Sdn Bhd since 2010.

Ustaz Auza’ie Arshad has a degree in shariah from the Al-Azhar University and a Master of Comparative Law from the International Islamic University Malaysia. He has written several articles on different religious subjects and current events in various magazines and booklet published by several Malaysian student’s associations in Egypt. He was a co translator for Fiqh Muyassar,  Al-Madkhal li-Dirasat al-Shari’ah al-Islamiyyah (Introduction to the Study of Islamic Law) by Dr Yusuf Al-Qaradawi (2013). He is currently co-translating two seminal works. He has conducted training and presented papers in Malaysia, Brunei and Egypt and attended conferences in Malaysia, Singapore and Abu Dhabi.

Putri Mahezan bt Ahmad Nazeri graduated from the Mu’tah University in Jordan in the field of fiqh and usul fiqh (jurisprudence and principles of jurisprudence) and post graduate Diploma in Administration of Islamic Judiciary from the International Islamic University.
